The Idea And Image Of Designing Logos In Chinese Characters

As the precious culture heritage of our Chinese nation, the Chinese characters are the carriers of history and culture, which has been enriched for thousands of years,being home of the wisdom and creation of the whole nation. The Chinese characters,as the important carriers of the centuries-old development of Chinese Civilization and spiritual tradition, not only has been greatly influencing Chinese people`s pattern of thinking, the way of exploring as well as transforming the world, but also giving the path to their forming of inner disposition and shaping of values. The Idea and Image of the Chinese traditional culture and the designing methods and theories which are embodied in the Chinese character logo designing has been playing a guiding role in presenting the internal connotation and the external aesthetic.There are two parts in this essay. The first part includes the first three chapters,which gives the definition to the designing conception of Typography and logos as well as analyzes the current situation of designing logos in Chinese Characters.Through the deep exploration in the designing conceptions of characters and logos, the necessity of designing Chinese Character logos emerges, and the foundation of developing it is established.The second part of this essay is mainly focused on the Idea and Image of designing the Chinese character logos. Through analyzing the creative exploration in the relationship of Idea and Image in designing the Chinese character logos, the formation of Chinese characters as well as the designing of the Chinese character logos, and the current applicability and feasibility in combining the Idea and Image of Chinese characters and the logo designing, the great importance of the Idea and Image of Chinese characters in designing logos is here to be found. The thesis of this essay is selected based on the understanding and analysis of the Chinese character culture, combining the Chinese characters of long history with the designing methods of modern conception; on the base of researching the Image of Chinese characters to discuss that how to transform the designing thoughts of Chinese character logos into the aesthetic enjoyment. For this purpose, the conception of the Idea of the Chinesecharacters is reachable. In addition the exploration of the Idea, the new understanding of the Chinese character designing and the research on future development of the Designing Logo are of equal importance.
