With the continuous deepening of China’s reform and opening-up, the rural surplus labor are constantly transfer to the city, more and more farmers enter the city for a job. And those migrant workers’living situation has aroused the attention of the academia and the whole society. Among these, in the context of rural-urban integration, the migrant workers can smoothly adapt to the urban or not is caused by widely discussions. At the same time, the scholars have been focus of attention in the migrant workers’social security. Under this background, the paper attempts to link these two aspects to study the relationship between them. And hope that the paper can provide new ideas for the research on social security and social integration of migrant workers.From the very start, this article gives a general overview of the social security of migrant workers, including the development process of social security system, the relationship between social security and social integration of migrant workers and the related policies. On this basis, with2010micro-data of migrant workers in Zhejiang province, this article gives a specific description of current situation and characters of social security and social integration; secondly, the article uses the logit model and two-stage least squares method to analysis data to find how social security of migrant workers influence their social integration, then further analyzes the effects of migrant workers heterogeneity. We can get conclusions as follows from this article:first, social security of migrant workers has a positive influence on social integration, and this influence is statistically significant. Second, the ages of migrant workers have a poor effect on the influence. But the pension insurance and medical insurance have a very different influence on the social integration of migrant workers of different education levels.
