Differences And Suggestions Between Urban And Rural Disabled Elderly Community Home Care Services

Community home care services have significant differences between urban andrural disabled elderly in the current, which is against the advocated concept of publicservice equalization.Disabled elderly people has reached37,50million.There are threemodes about caring for the disabled elderly,including family care,community care andInstitutional care.Due to family care and institutional care are facing various threats anddifficulties,community home care are being the best choice,namely the elderly living athome and enjoy the service provided by the community.Based on the survey, weconclude that rural residents are in the poorer health than urban residents,which need toimprove the prevention of age-related diseases in community service; care funding inurban communities are more than that in rural communities,which is not conducive tothe achievement of public service equalization; urban and rural communities in whetherto choose community home care have their own advantages and disadvantages, theadvantages of urban are bigger;urban and rural community home care has basically thesame subjects, but rural areas depend on the family more;rural communities are richer incommunity home care service’s content than that in urban communities. So we shouldincrease health education and training in urban and rural communities for the disabledelderly and their families; the government should increase investment in care servicesand actively promote the establishment of long-term care insurance; improve the socialsupport systems of community care services and take preferential policies for ruralcommunities; adjust local conditions to narrow the urban community home careservices gaps; explore new ways for urban and rural disabled elderly community homecare services.
