Losing only child of elderly population is aging population with Chinese characteristics.Statistics show that the total number of lost-child elderly have more than one million, and anannual growth rate of7.6million, volume continues to expand. Perspective from SocialSecurity under scrutiny, losing only child of elderly increasingly serious problem of old-agesecurity, flexibility and security coverage test of the ability of China’s current pensionsystem.It is no doubt that this phenomenon has caused the problem to our pension systempresents a new proposition. In summary, the loss of the only child of elderly age securityproblem with the historical background and the demands of the times, is a newborn andurgency problem. It is the duty-bound responsibility of government and society to providewholesome the old-age security system of the lost-child elderly. The research of this subjecthas theoretical and practical significance.Based on current hot issues start to lose the only child of elderly, a detailed analysis ofthe survival status of the elderly lose one child, respectively, from material needs, care needs,spiritual needs three hierarchy of needs to be normalized pension needs to lose the only childof elderly total discourse.
