A Survey Of Human Rights Consciousness Of Our Police

The central question of this research is: the differences and factors of the policeconsciousness of human rights.Consciousness of human rights, is human rights’consciousness, is one of the recognition of the value of human rights, has importantinfluence on the behavior of human rights.As the executor of the public power, thepower of the police is an important part of state power, to maintain social order andnational stability and people’s property security has an irreplaceable role, thefundamental value orientation and the final purpose of the run of the police powerare to protect human rights. Since China’s reform and opening up, especially afterhuman rights into the constitution, the state has been committed to create the policeof human rights’awareness, to establish a police force with high consciousness andqualities of human rights. However, because of the police career has such charactersas mandatory, statutory, so appear all sorts of police infringement of the rights ofcitizens, civil rights have been ruthlessly abused by public power, in the real lawenforcement"respect and safeguard human rights"has been not effectively enforced.Therefore, we focus on researching for the police law enforcement behavior have asignificant impact on human rights consciousness, combining the empirical analysis,trying to understand the present status of the police consciousness of human rights inChina and its influencing factors.This research has two mainly aspects of the study, on the hand, according to therelated research of human rights awareness at home and abroad,we design a highlocalization level scale of the police human rights consciousness questionnaire, thentake the police of G county in jiangsu province as the research object to carry outempirical research. First of all, on the basis of data statistics, we analyze the overallsituation of the human rights awareness of the police in G county, and do theconsciousness of human rights, the knowledge of human rights,and human rights’behaviors to descriptive statistics separately., the results show that the overallsituation of the police’s human rights awareness in the G county is good, but thesituation of the knowledge of human rights, human rights consciousness and human rights behavior is not all the same; Secondly, we analysis the different situation of thepolices human rights awareness based on the demographic variables, the resultsshow that different demographic variables on the effects of human rights awarenesshave significant differences.On the other hand,with the methodology of exploratory factor analysis, wediscusses the influencing factors of police human rights consciousness,last there aresix factors: human rights value,responsibility of human rights,behavioral tendencies,the cognition of human rights, deep and shallow behavior, whereby the biggest twoeffecting factors are human rights value and behavior.Finally, based on the results of the analysis, we comprehensively discuss thepresent situation of police human rights consciousness, the differences ondemographic variables,and the influence factors, then deeply understand and masterthe whole situation of the police consciousness of human rights in our country atpresent. Then, according to the study, we advise some specific, workable suggestionsin order to provide the reference for the related departments.
