Application Of Group Work In Improving The Service Ability Of Community Volunteer

In recent years, the construction of city community volunteer team has developed rapidly,and has achieved remarkable results in China. Community volunteer service which is for thepurpose of to serve society is from small to large and from weak to strong and it has becomeimportant elements of building a socialist harmonious society. However, the construction ofcommunity volunteers is still in infancy and has many problems. For example, our citycommunity residents lack the idea and behavior of voluntary service and their service abilityalso has the big promotion space. Because volunteer service ability will directly affect theeffectiveness of voluntary service and determine the value of existence, so as a social worker,how to improve the volunteer service ability is the need to focus on the problem.According to the searching and analysis of the volunteer related literature, the authorfound that most studies focus on the status and problem of the volunteer. This researchcontent is broad and is difficult to guidance personnel to carry out the specific work.Simultaneously, the related literature of how to improve the volunteer service capability isless and that using the methods of social work to practice is least.Therefore, based on the practice in S community service center in Shenzhen city,through the literature, interview and observation method, this research taking S communityas an example to analysis of the current situation of the community volunteers and serviceability. Then the author use twice group work to analysis that how to improve the basic andadvantage service ability of community volunteers. The author expect that this research canprovide some reference for the construction of other community volunteers and for socialworker who responsible for this field.
