With the continuous development of new technologies, the technology which e-government relying on are also upgrading, the connotation of e-government is constantly enriched by the initial office automation, and later with the government online and government information, then introducing the concept of governance to the e-government, eventually, e-government turn to e-governance, and government become from the initial one-way transmission of information to the public to the two-way interaction, a greater emphasis on civic participation. However, there are many theoretical studies, but in reality the government and the people have always been a direct insurmountable gap, there always has been very difficult for people to participate in government decision-making in the past With the continuous development of new technologies, and in particular the concept of Web2.0makes this issue seem to see a little turn. Web2.0tools embedded in the government website or specially built Web2.0platform has played an important role for effective public participation in government decision-making activities, timely response to public demands the government. This paper studies from five parts.The first part introduces the purpose and significance of this study. It summarized three aspects of articles about the situation related to the generation and application of Web2.0technologies, Web2.0in government management and e-governance-related. It takes a brief description the research methods used in this paper.The second part mainly describes theories about Web2.0and e-governance. Definition of the concept of Web2.0, the relationship between Web2.0with e-governance and related theories on Web2.0application also be introduced.The third part introduces the actual application on Web2.0in e-governance in foreign countries. Mainly select White House Website, the South Korean government portal, Korea e-petition platform, Singapore REACH program as an example.The fourth part focuses on domestic Web2.0in government applications, especially the use of Web2.0tools in government website and the situation of using on microblog and wechat.The fifth part is mainly summarizing the outstanding part of the foreign websites in the aspect of Web2.0, and point out the shortages for domestic government websites, furthermore, proposed the issues we should pay attention to in the future about the application of Web2.0in the e-governance.
