The Research On The Administrative Efficiency Supervision Of District Government

As an important strategy to deepen the administrative system reform, thepromotion of the government administrative efficiency plays a significant role inpushing the transformation of the government functions and supervising theimprovement of the officers’ work style. Since the educational practice of the party’smass line is in progress thoroughly, how to carry on the administrative efficiencysupervision has been a major research topic for the governments at all levels atpresent.Recently, the governments all around the country carried out work of theadministrative efficiency supervision actively, which had achieved certain results.However, there are still some deep-seated problems, that is to say, the governmentleader’s lack of the awareness of the administrative efficiency supervision, theinadequacy of administrative efficiency supervising range, the imperfection ofevaluation methods, the lack of standardization in complaints mechanism, and so on.These problems lead to the inefficiency of government work and the increase inadministrative costs.This paper consists of four main parts. Firstly, it defines the conception ofdistrict-level government and administrative efficiency, and briefly explains theconnotation and effect of the administrative efficiency supervision, which providestheoretical foundation for the following research. Secondly, the paper describes thecurrent situation of the administrative efficiency supervision in Guancheng District,Zhengzhou, including its institution setting, supervising ways and achievements.Thirdly, it emphasizes the main problems and the reasons that cause these problemsexisting in the work of the administrative efficiency supervision in districtgovernment. Finally, by analyzing the achievements in other places, it comes up withsome countermeasures to solve the problems and suggestions to direct theadministrative efficiency supervising work in district government.
