Abstract:Problems of marginalized disadvantaged groups exert an increasingly important impact on the stability and development of our society. With the increasing proportion of crimes social disadvantaged groups commit every year, many Chinese scholars began to focus on the causes of crime in this community and preventive mechanisms. Owing to their poverty and vulnerability of mental capacity, disadvantaged group will take some extreme ways to protect their rights which may exert an impact on the social stability when their rights can not be guaranteed. There are many factors regarding social disadvantaged group crime, economical factor such as the strong sense of relative deprivation that the widening wealth gap makes the social disadvantaged groups; and institutionally factor, such as the neglect and the absence of the protection for the rights of disadvantaged group, leading the dilemma for them to survive which is hard to solve. Besides, the lack of social care for vulnerable populations which makes the mental capacity of this group relatively low can not be ignored. When they encounter the events of irritation helpless situation, they are more likely to lose control and even commit crime. This problem is getting severer. And we must take the effective measures to prevent such crimes, such as expanding the social supports for the groups by legislation and improving their survival condition. Thus, their legal rights can be served and their relative deprivation can be relieved. At the same time, we must focus on the psychological adjustment and intervention of vulnerable groups to improve their mental capacity of the plight they face. And ultimately reduce the number of the crimes social vulnerable groups commit.
