Modern social performance management theory which has transplanted to governmentadministration play a key role to administration efficiency. As the police reform goeson,police station has more and more attention on performance evaluation. How to evaluatepolice’s achievement became a significant subject. The level of government administrationand service and the civilian’s satisfaction depend on civil servant’s service. The police at thebasic level which is the important part of civil servant has great influence on social stabilityand the figure of government. Police performance evaluation, as a very effective managementmechanism, has become a focus in public administration field. For a long time, there is aviewpoint that it is the same if you do more or less, good or bad, has a bad effect onmanagement of police group. It is aessential demand that establish performance evaluation system which is rigorous and perfect.In this study, author collect and sum up document in order to support the theme. Thepaper adopts research approaches of document analysis, investigation, case analytic methodetc., to research the system of police performance evaluation system. The paper has a deepanalysis of deficiencies, cause and influence which exists in the current police performanceappraisal system. Based on these analyses and the cases of PingShan Branch of ShenzhenPolice Bureau, the paper has a deep discourse on establishment of scientific and standardpolice performance appraisal system. Finally, the paper summarizes viewpoints, and looksforward to prospects of police system performance evaluation system.
