Leadership behavior is at a dominant position in the duty unit management activities, which directly related to the management performance of forces. Whether executive leadership behavior is reasonable and effective or not, which involved in the forces to the formation of core competence, the improvement of combat effectiveness, and the healthy development of the officers and soldiers. As a highly unified and tightly organized military organization, the problems of duty unit management must be solved. However, at present the study of leadership behavior in the army is still in the exploration, brewing, and bud stage, which is lack of systematic and holistic researching, it means that it is still difficult to complete the task of the army leadership behavior theory research. Among the current study of armed police forces, researchers mostly focus on the study of the ability required quality and the way to foster the ability, there is no analysis of the situation from the perspective of contingency factors studying how to affect the effect of leadership behavior.This paper combining the theory of leadership behavior, organizational behavior and human resources management related theory to research on the executive leadership behavior of armed police troops. Firstly, it analyzes subjective and objective conditions influenced by the duty team officer leadership behavior and the process of its leadership behavior. Which puts forward the idea of duty division officer should have cognitive system and power system. On this basis, the writer takes a questionnaire survey to the armed police duty group of the TJ. The research object included the brigade officers and soldiers above group and duty unit officers. It concerns on the investigation about individual characteristics of duty team officer, the way of leadership behavior, and the goal-directed leadership activities. The reaction of officers and soldiers to the different style of leadership, the change of officers and soldiers’group structure, the ideological and political level of the officers and soldiers and the abilities, the expectations of team officials to the division officer’s leadership behavior.Through the questionnaire, the analysis is in the following aspects:one is the influence of the duty team officer’s individual factors to its leadership style. Second is the influence of brigade officers and soldiers structure change to the relevant competent leadership style; third is the influence of different way of executive leadership style to the team officers and soldiers groups. Through these analyses, the writer found the subjective factors and objective factors influencing the armed police duty group of the TJ team executive leadership behavior. The most significant ones in these factors are executive culture background, work experience and the changing structure of the officers and soldiers. Furthermore, there has different impact on relevant competent leadership and executive thought cognition in different situation. According to the analysis results, the article puts forward the concept of duty unit foundation ability, as well as the unit basis the level of the power system. It points out that the important position of cultural factors on duty squads based power system and reveals the role of officers to the basis of cultivating ability.Finally this paper puts forward some specific measures and the suggestions to improve leadership behavior. From the view of contingency theory, it should improve the relevant competent leadership style, adjust the goal-directed leadership activities, and review the duty unit officer, finish the officer comprehensive ability construction. It has certain reference significance for the selection, appointment and training of armed police duty unit officers.
