The development and stability of ethnic minority areas play a significant rolein national development and stability. Entering the new century, a series ofmeasures has been adopted in order to enhance the level of public service. Thearrival of information age makes the information technology more and morewidely used in public service in ethnic minority areas. The overall development ofpublic service informationization in ethnic minority areas is good. However,governments are still faced with the difficulties of synergy and cooperation amonggovernments, commonweal sectors, private sectors, and other subjects in theprocess of public service informatization synergy in ethnic minority areas, becausethe development of the geographical environment, population and economic is notbalanced, relevant personnel have low level of information technology and weaksense of responsibility, electronic market in ethnic minority areas is less developedand lack of network professionals, and the level of institutionalization andstandardization of public service information synergy is low. On the base of digitalera governance theory, e-government theory and synergy theory, this research usesmethods of literature study, comparative research and case analysis to discuss thepresent situation of the problem. Learning from foreign experience, it puts forwardactionable recommendations for governments in promoting public serviceinformation synergy in ethnic minority areas, including that government shouldeliminate the synergetic gap, strive to build network intergovernmental relations, improve the competency of staff, strengthen their sense of responsibility andservice, develop electronic market and e-business talents, enhance the ability ofaccess to resources and defense ability, perfect the mechanism of public serviceinformation synergy, and strengthen the construction of systematization andstandardization.
