In recent years, issues concerning agriculture, countryside and farmers arealways the key and difficult problems in the process of the construction of newsocialist countryside in our country. The countryside cultural construction is animportant part of the new countryside construction. Strengthen the rural culturalconstruction with improving people’s growing spiritual and cultural needs, at the sametime,enhancing their cultural literacy, all of which is conducive to promote thedevelopment of the rural society, maintain its stability and harmony. As the deeperdevelopment of the construction of new socialist countryside, the countryside appearsto be thriving and prosperous with increasingly farmers’ cultural needs and culturalconsumption, gradually improved cultural facilities, increasingly rich and colorfulcultural activities, and the rising up cultural industry. Therefore, in the background ofthe construction of socialist country, it is of great significance to continue to promotethe construction of rural public culture and accelerate the rural public culturalproducts supply.This paper starts from the related concepts, theoretical basis and guidingideology of rural public cultural products supply,which has a discussion of theconnotation and characteristics of the rural public cultural products supply, Marx’scultural view and the theory of balanced supply and demand, development of publicculture in the West and the main supply mode and Mao Zedong rural culture and itscharacteristicsocialist rural culture view, which can be used as the theory basic and theguiding ideology of rural public cultural products supply research. Whiletheoutstanding achievements we have got in the process of the rural cultural developmentin recent years, which are fulfilledby our government and the populace, especially thefarmers who pay great efforts in the supply of rural public cultural products, at thesame time, it also has some problems to be solved. Thus, in the end of this paper, the author has made anelaboration on many aspects such as the government function, supply system of ruralpublic culture, endogenous mechanism, rural public culture industry, legalconstruction in rural areas, rural cultural exchanges and inheritance etc., and putsforward a series of measures to improve the supply of rural public culture, which is inthe hope that the development of rural public culture will make greater progress.
