The Research Of The Status And Countermeasures Of Tianjin Women’s Social Security

Social security is arranged as system of resolving crisis for citizens andguaranteeing national basic livelihood. The reason for that is to provide safety net forall people to surmount difficulties and strengthen the ability to withstand risks.Women are in the vulnerable position of the society. Social security is significant toprotect female citizens and to promote the development of women. As reasons justmentioned, women’s social security is the indispensable part of social security system.However, because of the influence of traditional culture of gender, changes of thesociety and unbalanced social economic development, men dominate social securitysystem and women subject social security is just the attachment of that system. Theresearch is done based on the perspective of gender and former researches to providethe institutional framework of female social security with the method of thecombination of quantitative analysis and qualitative analysis. Three main chapters,basic social security, special female security and prominent problems in the field offemale social security, are token to analyze in order to achieve the current situationand problems of Tianjin women’s social security. Solutions are also showed in thepaper according to problems and situation just mentioned.Through analyzing and contrasting the data from the Third Women’s social statusinvestigation in the perspective of gender, rural and urban, it is noted that the level offemale benefit is totally lower than that of men, sexism exists clearly in the process ofimplementing social security policies and the level of social security benefit of ruralwomen should be improve immediately in the part of the basic social security. Whenit terms to the female special social security, the working environment of parts of thewomen employees is extremely bad, which may cause bad influence on the nextgenerations. At the same time, the development of women welfare system is weak,and rural women can barely get welfare. In the part of prominent problems in the fieldof female social security, women are still in the unfavorable position of labor markets.In addition, the problem of rural women losing arable land because of marriages isserious. Solutions to problems mentioned above are showed in six parts, whichincludes government investment expansion, policy design standardization, integrationof urban and rural social security system, higher rate of female employment, institutionalized welfare of women and the socialization of gender equality. Allsolutions are expected to perfect the construction of Tianjin women’s social security,improve the level of female social welfare and promote the harmonious developmentof two genders.
