With the rapid development of aging problem, the elderly are being isolated from the mainstream group, which they are labeled by "the aged". On contemporary, we tend to give a label to a group of people, which make it category. Then they shut them up and concentrate on the "treatment", trying to make it be normal. As my field site, the nursing home is so typical that it separate the elderly from the people. So, the aging discrimination is strengthening the concept of the aged. So "Non Normal" becomes the cause of aging discrimination which is transcendental.Under the political and ethical influence, endowment is becoming the moralization.Via the research for more than half a year, nursing home becomes the plat for social performance. For example, children often visiting their parents vs the lost of family for the elderly; children’s hopelessness for life vs children becoming symbolic capital of the elderly; social love for the elderly vs durance for the elderly. All of above makes the endowment lost in the social fact.Recently, there appears a voice of active aging which the core is comfortable for the elderly. But during the field research, nursing home endowment aims at the comfort of the children. Meanwhile, under the moralization of endowment, the volunteers display filial piety instead of the society. This may fit their emotion instead of the elderly. So we have to reflect the meaning of social endowment.This study is based on the field research about endowment in Wan Jia Village. The author, as an endowment volunteer, intervened to study in the method of on-and-spot observation. This article aims to express the difficulty and interaction in the social endowment, by the contradiction among the nursing home, volunteers, the elderly, the kinship. And then it will show the meaning of social endowment.The article trys to describe the story in detail so that it can show the redemption in the name of morality. In this redemption, the elderly are tagged abnormal and become the weak group. Correspondingly, volunteers is becoming the protagonist instead of the elderly during the spiritual care, which is like a drama about helping the elderly. Like this, this article will criticize that social endowment today often ignore the subjectivity of the elderly in the endowment. So we tend to rethink:"what is the elderly?
