The Study Of The Pattern Of "Self-help And Mutual Assistance" In An Old-age Home Of Zhaixia Village In Jiangxi Province

Our country is an agricultural country, Along with the economic and social transformation, the functions of family care weakening increasingly in rural areas. On the macro view, those problems of aging and empty nest become increasingly serious,on the micro-level,middle-aged and young generation in rural areas are not able to deal with aging problems completely,all these actual situation make rural aging problem become a tough job. Rural old-age problem appears gradually,it leads to the increasing demand for social function. In fact, there are many old-age homes of help each other" in rural areas in our country. The old-age home of zhaixia village in Jiangxi province is a relatively successful case. By defining this case as the pattern of "self-help and mutual assistance",we can study and summarize some methods which we can use in institution for old-age care in rural areas.By using Literature search and in-depth interview, this article is based on the investigation of the old-age home of zhaixia village in jiangxi province.this paper uses activity theory, elderly subculture theory, Homans’ exchange theory as its instruction, on this basis, it unfolds research to the pattern of "self-help and mutual assistance",and explores the reasons of its success.At first,it launches a review of the birth and development of the old-age home in Zhaixia, summarizes personnel structure, the resources and services, by studying organization structure, balance of payments,management of life inside and outside of the old-age home, elderly care effect, then analyzes the process of the pattern of " self-help and mutual assistance". Second, on this basis, exploring the mechanism of the cause of this model. Among them, the most important reason has two aspects:one is that the old-age home making use of resources effectively, the other is that the old man behaved initiatively in the realization of "self help and mutual assistance". At last,this article summarizes its limitations,such as the singleness of service object, the old man’s age structure and physical quality which requires higher limits, pointes out that the model still has room for improvement, and put forward.some improvement strategies.such as continue to push forward new rural construction, strengthening the old-age home embedding local village.Considering the particularity of the rural elderly care problem, when the government and the society in the face of these problems,they should pay more attention to the rural elderly care concept and undeveloped rural economy level. At the same of advocating building social endowment service system, we should notice that social endowment is not the same as non-actionof the individual, its construction should be combined with the current situation of rural reality, doing cost saving, using resources reasonablely, the key is to adjust measures to local conditions, centered on the old man. In the rural areas whose local economy is relatively backward,but its local resource is rich and the old man also has a certain production capacity, advocating the pattern of "self-help and mutual assistance" in rural area can alleviate the contradiction between the current elderly care problem which is more and more serious and the social pension lags, for contributing to building a well-off society in an all-round way, and to the construction of harmonious society.
