Compared to the western countries and the other countries in Asia, the population problem of China is unique and more urgent, by which the pension problem caused is one of the most urgent social issues. In pace with the breakdown of traditional family and the urbanization, family security so far is under the impact. The simplification of family structure leads to a dramatic increase of empty nesters that unattended. And the lack of professional and rising price of domestic service have brought about all kinds of social problems. Besides, the single population composition and active mode caused by the centralized residence of the aged and expensive cost indicate that institutional care can only meet the needs of few seniors in the developing China.Most of the old citizens live in those communities with complicated population structure, multiple culture and abundant activities, which are managed in community. Those studies on the residential differentiation and the hybridisation of accomodation have complified that the hybridisation of accomodation can avoid those problems caused by the residential differentiation. Under the trend of community-care, the Chinese community-care system is still in an exploring stage with is too weak to support the development of community care, then the research of the Old-age service facilities in a community which contain the most community-care activities become extremely important.Paper studies the Old-age service facilities in an active hybrid community mode in the perspective of gerontological psychology. Paper summarizes the features of an active hybrid community mode from the old-age service facilities-oriented aspects of the population structure and residence patterns, planning traits and the social participation pattern. Then, summarizes the sensations perception features, cognition features, emotions, personality traits and development socialization of the aged. Lastly, based on the inluences of community mode and the physical and mental features of the aged on facilities for the aged, paper sums up three explicit factors of the facilities for the aged and gives some strategies and suggestions on planning, function and space of the facilities for the aged. Paper aims to give a way of thinking based on the community mode on old-age service facilities, and to give a reference to the construction and improvement of the community-care system to innovate better service for the aged.
