Esearch On Issues Of Enhancing Government Credibility Under The Horizon Of Administrative Ethics

With the development of the current political democratization, the political legitimacy base of a government is highly related to its credibility. As government credibility has great influence on political legitimacy, it has caught more and more attentionworldwide.Government credibility is not only a type of intangible asset and social trust system which is built in the process of the exercise of power and functio ns performed,but also an expression of the administrative authority,creditworthiness and the public influence. For a long time, the central party committee has maintained a high level of attention to the problems of government credibility,enhancing government credibility is of great importance to china all the time.As the rule and principle of ethics in the area of administration, administrative ethic has close connection to credibility of government. The three basic elements of public trust in government,to be specific, administrative concepts,administrative institutions and administrative actions, must adapt to the requirements of administrative ethics. Thus, government can make people-oriented strategies, govern for citizens and pursue legal justice. Ultimately,to enhance the government credibility must strengthen the construction of administrative ethics.Since China’s reform and opening up,our country has made big progresses on enhancing government credibility, and governments under the leadership of Chinese Communist Party get positive feedback from the people. However, a series of public crisis and social group events have caused bad influence on credibility of some local governments recently, government credibility face severe challenges.The challenges faced by government credibility mainly reflect problems of credibility in government policy, conduct and performance, besides, it will certainly cast into doubt among the people. Lack of administrative ethics is the chief reason of government credibility problems.As a result, government can only improve public trust by generalizing administrative ethics education to Strengthening moral self-discipline of administrative agents, improving the mechanism of administrative ethics to guide administrative agents in proper actions, and creating a favorable environment for the development of administrative ethics. The ill effects to government credibility caused by administrative ethics deficiency can be solved by exploring the administrative ethics countermeasures from the above three aspects,in addition, it can provide help to creating a public trust image from the government.
