In recent years, a lot of new members join in civil servants team through the civil servants recruitment system. Base on that, well organized and planned training for these new members becomes a very important job of our government. The quality of civil servants decides not only the operation quality and effiency of government, but also the orientation and quality of society.Strengthen civil servants’ training and improve their quality is the key factor to insist the scientific developmenet view, promote national contruction and build harmonious socialist society. New civil servants orientation training is designed to help them to get familiar with new positions and help them to chage their role from normal citizens to civil servants. Orientation training is an important role to ensure the “entrance quality” of new civil servants. It can help new team members to get familiar with government organization, culture, working process, regulations, basic quality and skills, so that they can change their role as soon as possible to fit for the request of new positions. What’s more,orientation is an important way to improve the overall quality of civil servants.We have achieved some obviously achievements after several years hard working and improvement. For example, we have founded relative law and management system. The orientation training system has made an enormous contribution to the professionalization of civil servants. But there is still a long way to go since there are still a lot of problems in current training system which can not ensure our planned training targets.Base on current reseach results, I focus on following factors in this paper:training target not clear, lack of training requests analysis, training mode not enough and training evaluation not systematic. With the research mthods of questionaire and interview, I did a research by the example of Kunshan’s new civil servants orientation training. After systematic research and analysis, I promote several proposals in order to improve the training effiency and results and hope that could be useful for new civil servants orientation training.
