An International Comparative Study Of Social Welfare Using Linear Regression

Social Security System play a vital role in maintaining the harmony of society, reducing social gap and redistribution. In the past decades in China, Social Security System has made some concessions on developing economy quickly and continuously. But under the situation that the goal of revolution and development become clearer and clearer, the establishment of Social Security System has been put into an important position gradually. The government already proposed the concrete requirements and directions of Social Security System to solve the livelihood issues in the 11th Five-Year Plan. This thesis is going to evaluate the relationship between social welfare level and various economic variables comprehensively through mathematic models and the way of regimes.Firstly, in the second chapter, the international social welfare system, were classified by the level of social welfare, and made introduction of different social welfare system. The third chapter introduced current situation and character of Chinese social security system, made comparison with other system around world. The forth chapter built linear regression model between social welfare level and various major economic variables, and analyzed their transmission mechanism. The last chapter summarized the social security system’s problem and suggested opinions for the reform of it.
