Investigation Of Left Behind Children’s Holiday In Rural Areas Of Fuqing

With the rapid development of economy, a lot of labor outputs create considerable economic benefits. Meanwhile, however, the problem of left-behind children is increasingly serious, especially in security, psychological, moral character and learning. How to eliminate the negative factors for growing left-behind children, have become a common topic of the whole society.Holiday life is an important part for children, and it directly affects the development of children’s morality, intelligence and personality. The paper aims to carry on an investigation for holiday life of the left-behind children, making a detailed understanding of the effects of holiday life, then being familiar with those children and taking part in their holiday lives. Thinking of ways to correcting the left-children’s bad habits and enhance quality of holiday through the comparison of children who grow up with parents. To put forward more suggestions and opinions in the aspects of theory and practice, advocating society, schools and families create a better growth environment for left-children.In order to conclude a more representative result, I decide to use the sample survey method, choosing 50 left-behind children and 50 guardians from Yuxi Town, Jiangjing Town, Haikou Town, Sanshan Town and Gaoshan Town. Through interviews, I collect the basic information of them, especially in understanding, activity place, contents, and companions.The survey found that the left behind children have some important problems, such as a small place for activity, a boring time of holiday, a little companion to play with, and an almost nonexistent arrangement of time.Analysis of the causes draw a conclusion that lacking of family attention, social concern, communication between family and school are main cause of left-behind children problem. In order to solve the problem above, the paper puts forward some opinions and suggestions from all directions. I suggest teachers pay attention to home visit to encourage children and guardians take part in more activities in holiday, and suggest school and society create more social practice opportunities. Meanwhile, I sincerely hope the government to develop the rural economy, increasing more employment opportunities, to solve the problem fundamentally.
