The Realization Of The Political Stability Under The Circumstance Of Online Political Participation

With the revolution of the information and the progress of the internet, human has entered into a new information age. The internet has not only permeated into all aspects of human life, but also molded a country’s political, economic and social forms. In the political area, the internet changes the form of traditional political participation, promoting the innovation of the participation way. Its own features, such as interactivity, transmissibility, universality and open, greatly expand the political participation’s scope of space and time, which give citizens more opportunities and greater powers to seek balance between the state powers. The popularity of the Internet enlarges the power of political participation. It not only enriches the main body, but also innovates the way of political participation. Thus, the modern online political participation presents the following characteristics:equality, convenience and privacy. In addition, the internet also brings new interaction modes between the government and the citizens. This provides a new channel for the government to carry out effective governances. The new interaction modes are the foundation of the political stability. It cultivates the new legitimacy foundation, and the citizens’ rights, responsibility and legal awareness. Political stability is the premise and foundation of social development and progress. Whether in the macro area or in the micro area, the political stability provides a good external environment. However, the Internet is not as perfect as we thought. The underlying problems, such as group polarization, moral anomie, are appearing with the deepening political participation, which shake the political stability to some extent, and attract widespread attention.This article tries to explore the relationship between the online political participation and political stability from the perspective of Internet in the new era, focus on the new characteristics of political participation.
