In this paper, the author try to analysis the motion, model and decide track of theTaiwan policy of the United States of America during President Obama’s secondpresidency term. As other scholars’ studies before, President Obama’s Taiwan policytruly affecting the U.S-China relations because of the extremely important rule ofTaiwan. Taiwan issue is one of the most important issues of the U.S-China relations.Whether Obama would change his Taiwan policy in his second presidency term andhow to change that is a question worth to ask and hard to answer.Taiwan is important and irreplaceable both to the U.S and China, and of course isa part of China’s territory. The U.S government has developed an aging Taiwan policyduring its hundreds years’ history, and it always changed as the prudency changes. ForChina, Taiwan is an island but a tool to contain China to the U.S. We have to knowthe direction of the U.S-Taiwan relations will developing to and try to make thenegative affection as its least.This paper will try to analysis Obama’s Taiwan policy during his secondpresidency term from many aspects. After the Mid-term election of2014, theRepublicans totally controlled the Congress and the Senate, has became a needle ofObama’s big seat. Additionally, Obama has to face to many challenges of domesticand foreign affairs. All of these could make his Taiwan policy changed and so thatmake it another means of the U.S-China relations.
