With the rapid development of the network and information technologies, themedia represented by network and cell phone have become an indispensable part in ourlife while changing the way we learn and know about the world. Along with thecommunication and popularization of political culture in the current medium time, thepublic’s consciousness of right has awakened and their enthusiasm for politicalparticipation ran unprecedentedly high. The leading carders are the carriers of the publicpower and the distributors of social resources. Their images, which represent not onlythe government but also the country, are also the embodiment of the political centripetalforce. Therefore, their images should become the focus of medium broadcasting andpublic concerns. The media images of the leading carders have inevitably entered thepublic view. The success or failure in the communicating and shaping of the leadingcadres’ media image directly influences the public’s support. In this reason, the study onthe leading carders’ media images caters to the time trend and meets the needs of reality,which is also the value of the topic.On the basis of analyzing the necessity of the leading cadres’ media images in thegeneral background of medium age, i.e. the effects of the communicating and shaping ofthe leading cadres’ media image, the thesis summarizes the current communicatingsituation of the leading cadres’ media image in China and then provides the path choicesfor the building the leading cadres’ media image. The thesis is divided into five parts:The first part is introduction which includes the research background and researchsignificance, the relevant studies both in home and overseas, the contents and methodsof the study. The second part defines the leading carders, the media image and theleading cadres’ media image and introduces the theories of political communication,pseudo-environment and agenda-setting. The third part analyzes the effects of theleading cadres’ media image from six aspects including the displaying of thegovernment images, political communication, social mobilization, rectification demonstration and the guidance of the public opinion. The fourth part analyzes thecommunication of the leading cadres’ media image. In combination with thecharacteristics of the leading cadres’ media image, it discusses the currentcommunication situation of the leading cadres’ medium images in China. On the basisof the current situation, the influencing factors on the situation are analyzed. The fifthpart is about the building of the leading cadres’ media image. The principles and pathsof building the leading cadres’ media image are put forward by analyzing of the currentcommunication situation of the leading cadres’ medium images.
