Sustainable Livelihoods Analysis Of Reservoir Immigrants

With the development of social economy, energy demand is increasing, in addition to the use of conventional energy, all over the world in developing the new energy, hydro energy is one of them. The development of hydro energy will promote the development of social economy, but also brings some issues, including immigration seems to be especially serious.Based on the Nuozhadu hydropower station Nandaohe resettlement areas as an example, using Sustainable livelihoods Analyses compares livelihoods stratagem, the results of the livelihoods and the livelihood capital before and after the move of the migration, and analysis of the influence factors of immigrants’ livelihoods. On the whole, immigrants’ livelihoods affected after the move, most of the migrants less income after relocation, however, there are some immigrants benefit from the relocation project. Immigrants living changes mainly influenced by the following factors, the first is the livelihood capital change, after the relocation, livelihood capital is severely damaged, affected the income of immigration. Second, the choice of the livelihood strategies affect livelihoods as a result, immigrants face the same external environment after the relocation, transform the livelihoods of people, the income increase, and most people don’t adapt to change the way of living, living in a difficult. Third, immigrants’ livelihoods results also under the influence of living expenses, after the relocation, live more convenient, life spending increases, disease and education big spending will lead to immigration into poverty. In addition to the above reasons, the immigrants’ livelihoods will be influenced by external policies and economic conditions. Collective ownership of rural land, making the separation of operation right and ownership of farmland, does not favor the farmland circulation, against immigrants natural capital recovery, does not favor the farmland circulation, against immigrants natural capital recovery. The implementation of the minimum wage protection, could make it difficult to find a job after the migration, is not conducive to the transformation of immigrants living. After analyzing the influence factors of immigrants’livelihoods, the author put forward the corresponding policy recommendations.
