| The eco-terrorism is a new type of crime emerging from developed capitalist countries-such as the US-during the latter half of the 20s century. It’s a major character is its criminal purpose, which is the protection of nature. Recent decades, the eco-terrorism has been intensified due to the continuous global environmental pollution. It has caused massive death and financial losses. China, as one of the most important part of the world, will inevitably being threatened by the eco-terrorism. China has been on the highway of development. While along with the economic growth, the environmental pollution has become more and more serious. More people care about the environmental protection cause and take action. Those with radical thoughts are included. At the meantime, some notorious foreign extreme organizations of environmental protection have infiltrated to China to implement extreme actions of environmental protection. Massive crimes of the eco-terrorism in China will inevitably commit. But regretfully, China has not announced relative accusations of such crimes. Legal obstacles would’ve been push forward for the prevention and control of such crimes.This thesis firstly introduces the concept and the characteristics of the crime of eco-terrorism. Then it analyzes the historical course and the cause of the eco-terrorism. Forwardly, this thesis introduces the crimes of eco-terrorism and certain issues of the legislation of relative crimes in China. Conclusions have been made to emphasis the necessity of the improvement of the crime of eco-terrorism in China. Then this thesis takes the US as an example by which the author enumerates relative laws and regulations of anti-eco-terrorism crime and analyzes their major characteristics. By referring to the legislation model, variable traits of such laws and regulations in the US, the author discussed the useful parts for references in China for its legislation. At last the author suggests to issue a new charge of crime:the act of eco-terrorism. |
