The Political Participation Capability Of Female Village Leaders In The Rural Community

Women political participation is a hot issue among academics. This paper started from the background of the construction of rural community, an increasing demand of public service arising among villagers, discussed the capability of female village leaders in political participation. It analyzed the female village leaders’election participating capability, affairs discussing capability, organizing capability and supervising capability, combing with the data and observation, to discuss the women’s participation capability in politics. The paper also studied the factors which influence the participation capability of female village leaders and put forward the rationalize proposals to improve the capability in political participation.From the aspect of participation capability, female village leaders are more vote on their initiative. They have special female perspective when discussing public affairs, especially in the topic about social construction and welfare. Thirdly, female village leaders are capable to represent their own benefits and supervise the function of villagers committee. From the aspect of influencing factor, the paper concluded that policy, economic status and income, education and social culture will affect the political participation capability of female village leaders.
