Research On Local Government’s Credibility Assessment

Government’s credibility is acquired by administrative behavior, occupying a significant position in the whole social credit system. Since local government is the organization that has the most widely contact with the masses, its credibility has great impact to build a service-oriented government. By analyzing factors of local government’s credibility, this paper build the evaluation system of local government’s credibility. It’s not only beneficial to evaluate the competitiveness of local governments, but helps to find the problems exiting in the construction of government’s credibility.First of all, this study introduces the concepts of credibility, government credibility and the function of local government’s credibility. Thus it expounds three relevant theories of the government credibility, which has provided certain theoretical support for next parts of this paper.Secondly, following the principles to build evaluation system, this study picks four main indicators and twenty-four secondary indicators on the bases of analyzing the compositions of local government’s credibility. After that,this paper has selected effective indicators by questionnaire method and set weight of the first and secondary indicators by AHP method.Thirdly, in this paper, the research dose empirical study on Tangshan cit y by using questionnaire approach and evaluates Tangshan city credibility usi ng the built local government evaluation system, which not only has proved the feasibility of the evaluation system, but also has finds problems exiting in Tangshan government.Finally, based on the problems of Tangshan government has, the paper provides effective suggestions that helps to improve universal local government’s credibility.
