The Research On Pension Service Needs Of Empty Nester And The Affected Elements

In the early 1970 s, China began to put the one-child policy into practice. With that help, the population of China had been effectively controlled. At the same time, the policy had an effect on the size of family. But the new pension problems were also aroused: Firstly, if the singleton left its family, the family would become an empty nest family in an earlier period; Secondly, even if the singleton didn’t leave the family, after they got married, one side of the parents have to live independently at least, because it is difficult to satisfied the requirements of both the male and the female to live with their parents; Thirdly, if the singleton dead accidently, it would cause a special kind of loss of empty nesters. In addition, with the development of social economy, the ideological concept, the value orientation and the way of lifestyle, great changes have taken place in many aspiring people, that make a trade-off between personal development and bringing up a child. People expect that it can be freed from the burden of feeding a child, and thus more and more people prefer to join to the dink family, that also leads to the growth of the special empty nesters.This thesis is based on the demand of empty nesters of Jimo city in Shandong Province, following the quantitative research to analyze the pension service needs of empty nesters. Firstly, this paper reviews to work on a summary of the related research and to introduce the definition of the empty nesters and pension service and the main theory basis of this paper. Then on the basis of questionnaire, it has carried on the descriptive analysis research about the pension service needs of empty nesters. And discussed in three parts which are individual, family, and society three dimensions extracted the 11 factors, using SPSS to do interaction analysis and multiple regression analysis of affected elements of different types of needs.In diversified pension needs, interaction analysis shows that the most urgent demand for empty nesters are health care service, the ultimate age and the educational level. Also the professional before retirement, health, marital status, life-style and health insurance wil influence the choice of empty nesters. Then using multivariate Logistic model to analyze, and it shows that the age, educational level, health condition are all significantly impact on the choice of pension service needs. In the most pressing needs of life care service, interactive analysis show that the demand of helping to do the housework is the most urgent, and gender, age, health condition, marital status, living status and health insurance, children may influence the choice of life care service demand. Then using multivariate Logistic model to analyze, and it found that gender, health status and health insurance have a significant impact when empty nesters choose the most pressing needs. In the investigation of most urgent medical service demand, interactive analysis revealed that empty nesters have the most pressing demand for disease prevention, and age, health condition, marital status, living status and health insurance will be impact the choice of medical service demand, using multivariate Logistic model to analyze influence factors, it found that age and health condition can make a significant impact on this. About spiritual consolation service, interaction analysis revealed that the most pressing needs is the satisfaction of recreational activities, and age, occupation, family income before retirement, health condition and medical insurance which have a big influence when empty nesters choose the service needs, Then using multivariate Logistic model to analyze influence factors, it found that age, career, health condition, family income before retirement and medical insurance have a significant impact.Finally on the base of study, I put forward some relevant countermeasures and suggestions. The first one is giving full play to the role and function of multivariate supply main body; secondly, giving priority to the community endowment diversified pension service system.
