Study On Problems In The Construction Of Standardization Of Police Station And The Strategies

Mr. Guo Shengkun, State Councilor and Minister of public security, pointed out that, in order to fit the development of the era and deepen public security reform, the“Four changes” should be vigorously promoted. And the four changes are“informatization of the basic”, “Police work in combat”, “regulating law enforcement”and “standardization of the members”. The “standardization of the members” is the core.However, in the work of public security and the police construction, the problems of standardization is highlighted in aspects of police system, education and training,police supervision, police protection and even in policemen themselves. As is the basic unit of public security system, police station is the base of the construction of public security, and it is the front line where the system punishes crimes, maintaining social security and serve people. Policemen have the duties of population management,residence management, security management, fire control, case dealing, and dispute adjustment.At the same time, police station is the unit which is close to people, and its efficiency and quality leads to the result of social security and the work of public security. So it is important to improve the standardization of the police, the system of professional training, the quality of law enforcement and the awareness of standardization. Taking the police station of Wujiang District in Suzhou as an example,the author learnt and analyzed the present situation and existing problems, and found the strategies to promote the level of the standardization by considering experience of other countries..
