Armed soldiers as front-line combatants, are the most basic units and the most fundamental components of armed force. The work they are engaged in is particular, which will frequently lead to greater pressure. And the stress will directly affect the efficiency of their work satisfaction. Emotional intelligence of individuals is different, their attitudes and ways of coping with stress will be different, and then it will have an impact on their satisfaction. Previous studies on job stress, emotional intelligence and job satisfaction are most concentrated in the education, enterprise and medical field, and research about the armed police force is little.This study is based on cognitive evaluation theory and adopts the questionnaire as the research method. In this survey, it takes seven armed police corps including more than 600 armed police as a sample, using SPSS statistical software to do the t-test,variance analysis, correlation analysis, regression analysis,adjusting effect test and other statistical techniques to explore the relationship between armed police work stress and job satisfaction, where in the regulatory role which emotional intelligence plays. Research indicates:(1)There are significant differences in armed police soldiers’ work pressure according to the difference in demographic variables including age, post, only-child or not, the nature of its units and units of territory.(2)There are significant differences in armed police soldiers’ emotional intelligence according to the difference in demographic variables including age, the level of literacy, post, only-child or not, the nature of its units and units of territory.(3)There are significant differences in armed police soldiers’ job satisfaction according to the difference in demographic variables including only-child or not, the nature of its units and units of territory.(4)Work stress has a significant negative impact on job satisfaction of armed police, that is, the job satisfaction will be reduced when the job stress is greater.(5)Regulation of emotion intelligence exists between the armed police soldiers’ work pressure and job satisfaction,that is, when emotional intelligence of armed police is greater, the negative impact of the job stress on job satisfaction will be reduced.Finally, this essay makes an analysis on the lack of this study and makes recommendations for future research directions.
