Research On Pedagogy Of Party School Of The CPC Central Committee During Yanan Period

Party school of Communist Party of China Central Committee functioned as the guide line for the construction, education and learning of party school of the CPC in Yanan period when the party was tested on diverse social conflicts, changeable situations and special revolutionary tasks. Under great pressure, the party has proved its validity and experienced ups and downs. In addition, under the lead and guide of the party, the pedagogy, experiencing unprecedented explorations and summaries, has been reestablished and grown into the guiding principles for the party. Difficulties, such as the constant changes of the school site, the lack of faculty, and different abilities of students, have been overcome, which taught mass party members a great lesson on how to apply Marxist theories to the practice in China, greatly raising the members’ political awareness, equipping them with ideological weapons for anti-Japanese war and the war of liberation. Furthermore, the education work of party school offered a theoretical guarantee for the construction and development of a new China. Therefore, the education work has been exerting essential influence on military leader cadre reserve, and the growth and the political maturity of the party.In this paper, four aspects on the pedagogy of Party School of the CPC Central Committee will be expounded: the historical background and development, the teaching contents, the effects and characteristics of teaching work, and the experience and implications, with priorities given to the Rectification Movement and its influences. As a review on the organizational and ideological construction, this paper will explore the formation of Yanan spirit.
