One Study Based On The SCL-90 Of The Mental Health Condition Of Mid Governmental Officials And Social Work Intervention Under The Social Transformation Perspective

As Chinese’s Real GDP per capita has reached 3000 U.S. dollars, the diseases in the aspects of psychologies have been gradually becoming great threats to the health. All kinds of groups are facing the emerging mental health problems. In recent years, the changes of the political situation and the continuous social transformation make the mental health of the mid-level governmental officials draw more and more attention from the society. It is the right time to strengthen the mental health education of the mid-level governmental officials, which is of far-reaching significance.Based on this, this study utilizes the questionnaires to conduct a survey on the mental health condition of 140 mid-level governmental officials. The results of the study show that on the one hand, mental health condition of 140 mid-level governmental officials is good; on the other hand, some individuals of the 140 officials have certain psychological problems and the abnormal rate is 5.71%.On the basis of the analysis of the reasons behind the problems and starting from the perspective of the social work profession, in this paper, it is considered that the professional practice is carried out from the micro system, medium system and macro system. Specifically, we need to use projective test, individual interview and rational emotive therapy skills to help officials to correct the misunderstanding of the concept of mental health, to regulate their personal emotions and tap their own potential to solve mental health problems. For those officials who have common mental health needs, they could form a group. Social workers should assist the professional counselors to carry out mental health education and consultation while the specific activities include collective education seminars, psychological drama and group counseling, to help the officials to solve common problems. At the same time, social workers should also make efforts to build a comprehensive system of intervention in the aspects of culture, organization and social policy.
