The Experimental Analysis On The Influence Of Economic Opening On Chinese Female Employment

Economic Opening has greatly promoted the economic development of our country. However, with the rapid development of economy, we should know that China is a country with a large population and has the most abundant labor resources in the world. The huge quantity of labor force is the advantage of our country at the same time it brings great pressure on employment. However, with the deepening of reform, Economic Opening not only promotes the rapid development of China’s economy, but also brings a good opportunity for employment. The increase in import and export trade brings many opportunities to China and relieves great pressure on employment. Since the implementation of reform and opening up, China’s economy has been developing rapidly. Economic Opening improves the employment rate, but few people pay attention to changes in the employment rate of women.Since ancient times, there has been a limitation in women’s employment.Compared with men, women are regarded as a vulnerable group. Most of the studies have indicated that Economic Opening has improved China’s employment rate, but the relationship between Economic Opening and female employment is not very clear.Theoretically, Economic Opening can promote women’s employment. From the perspective of resources, China is a manufacturing country, especially the development of electronics, textile and other industries has attracted a large number of female labors. Therefore, the increase of export demand needs more workers, which lead to the increase of women’s employment. From the perspective of value,Economic Opening brings the foreign cultures and values into China, which have some influences on female values and minds in our country, making women take the initiative from working at home into professional women. In order to describe accurately the effect of Economic Opening on the female employment, from the perspective of female, this paper combines individual data and macro data, which were investigated in 1995, 2002 and 2007 from CHIP database. Analyzing the relationship between the Economic Opening and female employment can contribute to understanding the current social reality, especially some issues on female employment, on the other hand it provides a good basis to balance the relationship between the different genders as well as to increase female employment.Through the research, the author found that Economic Opening especially export dependence has a positive impact on the female employment. The improvement of export dependency can increase employment opportunities for women and rise the employment rate, at the same time the introduction of FDI also has a certain impact on female employment, but the effect is not as significant as export dependency. The author also found that women’s educational level has some impact on employment.Therefore, in the future economic development, in order to promote female employment, relevant departments not only accelerate the development of export industries, but also improve the women’s educational level.
