The Impact Of The Government-Enterprise Relationship On The Enterprise Performance In Our Country

Since Chinese economic reformation, the relationship between government and enterprises reformation has always been the hot spot of the academic research and the practice reformation, and the enterprise’s performance is one of the most important indicators to measure the enterprise’s future development.The relationship has large influence on the enterprise’s performance.With the development of the market economy and gradually building its main status, the relationship works through legal environment, public services, tax burden and so on which is called the relationship between government and enterprises and plays an important part on the enterprise’s performance,which is the key external factor to the enterprise future development.Since the Eighteenth National Congress of the Communist Party of China convening, along with the strength of our country anti-corruption increasing and our country being in the period of social transition, the investigation of relationship between government and enterprises has significant effects on business performance.Based on the comprehensive research theory, the relationship from the micro-level research and the government through which way affects the external business environment is studied in this paper.Based on the World Bank 2012 China-Enterprise Survey data, this research uses the enterprise informal payment to measure this relationship,investigate the informal payments how affects the enterprise’s performance, such as electricity, communications and other public services, tax burden, the convenience to apply for the business license and land,building contracts with government and official inspect in order to research which way affects notably.The empirical results show that:the informal payment has significant positive effects on corporate financial performance;the government has impacts on the enterprise’s performance through the tax management,the access to land,telephone,building contract with government and official inspect. The conclusion shows that Government-enterprise relationship is nor mature,Informal payments has its effective space and building well Business environment is imperative.
