From the 1980s, with the rapid development of economy and industrialization, the problem of rural left-behind children is becoming increasingly acute, and emotional absence cause more and more concerns. Taking the analysis on the affecting absence problem of rural left-behind children, can not only insight into the manifestations of local children left-behind emotional problems, and then analyze the causes and seek solutions to this problem and suggestions, but also push the boundaries of traditional moral education research, and provide emotional theoretical support for the healthy grow-up of children, having important practical significance.This paper combines with Emotional Development Theory and New Public Service Theory, and makes research on the emotional absence problem of rural left-behind children. Firstly, the thesis takes Zhukou Town of Taining County, which located in the northwest of Fujian Province as an example, through questionnaire survey and site visit for the basic situation and emotional condition of local rural left-behind children, combined with data and materials to analyze the emotional absence problems, such as emotional blockage, sense absence of belonging and security, deviation of values and conscience. What’s more, the thesis introduces the local government departments care specific practice and effect of left-behind children, including the establishment of children left behind in the repository, improve care and support mechanisms to carry out promotional activities and other aspects of care. Secondly, the thesis analyzes the reasons of emotional absence problems, such as lacking sufficient attention to left-behind children’s emotional problems, not enough social attention to left-behind children, school of left-behind children emotional education is not enough, the lack of communication school of left-behind children emotional communication and so on. Finally, the thesis combined with the situation of Zhukou Town, looks for some methods to solve the emotional absence problems from family, school and society aspects, such as strengthen the family care responsibilities, strengthen schools emotional education, build social-emotional care network and so on, which is important to improve the legal protection system and the environment for left-behind children, and even help to the construction of harmonious society.
