China is a unified multi-ethnic country,56 ethnic groups together to create a great nation. In Yunnan Province, also home to 56 ethnic groups, of which, more than 5,000 ethnic groups there are 25, in large part, Yunnan has become a unified multi-ethnic Chinese in miniature. May 2011, the State Council issued a "support for the southwest Yunnan to accelerate the construction of an important bridgehead open views," which clearly stated that "Building Yunnan Province into our national unity and progress, prosperity frontier stability of the demonstration zone", which accelerate Yunnan development of border areas of great strategic significance. This paper selects Yunnan Province demonstration area of national unity in a region-Lijiang City, as the object of study. State guidelines and policies and Yunnan Province in the national unity policy of the sort, combined with the specific conditions of Lijiang City, analysis and presentation of the concrete before the Ethnic solidarity demonstration area, on this basis, proposed the construction of national unity in Lijiang special conditions demonstration area; by major problems and difficulties of Lijiang City demonstration area of national unity during the existence of the study, specific measures to further promote national unity demonstration area of Lijiang raised against these problems and difficulties.These studies addressing the Ethnic solidarity demonstration area some problems and promote economic and social development in Lijiang of all ethnic groups and ethnic minority areas, the achievement of national harmony, stability and common prosperity has certain practical significance and reference value.
