A Study On The Experience Of Establishing Demonstration Zone Of National Unity And Progress

China is a multinational country,in which the lasting interaction,integrated development,unity and fraternity among the constituent ethnics are characterized as the mainstream and features of our ethnic relations.Although the ethnic disputes and clashes occurred from time to time in the other countries in the world,the ethnic relations in China have been getting along in a harmonious atmosphere because of the mutual assistance and solidarity among the different ethnic groups,thus makes the 56 constituent ethnics a harmonious family.Nevertheless,due to the complex impacts and changes both in the world and at home,China has to face more and more challenges and difficulties in strengthening its national solidarity and elaborating effective measures to unite all its ethnic groups to strive for the common prosperity and development.This situation has also proposed a new subject for the sustainable advancement of the national unity and progress in China.In order to thoroughly implement Xi Jinping's socialist ideology with Chinese characteristics in the new era and the spirit of the 19 th National Congress of the Communist Party of China,we need to vigorously strengthen the national unity,and keep in mind the consciousness of the Chinese National Community.Therefore,it is necessary to constantly sum up the experiences and the model in promoting the national unity and progress,so as to serve as an example for promoting the national unity and progress in minority areas,furthermore to play a leading role in promoting the national unity and progress in other areas.Meilis District of Qiqihar City,Heilongjiang Province,is a multi-ethnic residential area with Daur nationality as the major group.With the reform and opening up policy,here have taken place some significant changes,which are typical and representative in the establishment of demonstration zones of national unity and progress.Meilis District is a successful demonstration zone for the establishment of national unity and progress,so it is worth a comprehensive and in-depth summary of its experience,and the promotion of such an experience for the purpose to maximizethe development of national unity and progress in other areas of the country.This paper makes a comprehensive and multi-level in-depth investigation on the construction of the demonstration zone of national unity and progress in Meilis Daur Ethnic Zone of Qiqihar City,Heilongjiang Province,it expounds the Marxist theoretical origin in establishing the demonstration zone of national unity and progress,and its great significance in constructing a harmonious society,then presents the status quo of the main achievements in economic development of the Demonstration Zone of national unity and progress,etc.This paper summarizes the major objectives on strengthening a solid foundation for the national unity through the interaction,integration among the ethnic groups,analyses the major opportunities for the establishment of demonstration zones on the way of building a well-off society in an all-round way,and probes into the severe challenges such as the single economic structure,especially summarizes the successful experiences of adhering to the leadership by the Communist Party of China.On this basis,the paper puts forward some solid practical suggestions for strengthening the construction of demonstration zones of national unity and progress in order to promote the innovation and development of the national unity and progress in the multi-ethnic areas.
