The Practice And Experience Research On Establishing Demonstration County Of National Unity And Progress In Shuangjiang Autonomous County

At the beginning of 2015,when General Secretary Xi Jinping visited Yunnan,he asked "Yunnan to actively serve and integrate into the national development strategy,break out a way of leapfrog development,and strive to become ademonstration area of national unity and progress,pioneer in the construction of ecological civilization,a radiation center for South Asia and Southeast Asia,and compose a good chapter of Yunnan of the Chinese dream".Among them,the important exposition of "striving to become a demonstration area of national unity and progress in China" has great strategic significance for accelerating the development of Yunnan border areas.Shuangjiang Autonomous County is the only Lahu,Wa,Bulang and Dai Autonomous County in China.Its unique ethnic customs and structure are of great significance in Yunnan Province.The more distinctive feature is that there are 23 ethnic minorities in Shuangjiang Au tonomous County,and the ethnic minority population accounts for 47%.It is one of the main settlements and cultural birthplaces of the Bulang Nationality,known as "the hometown of Chinese pluralistic ethnic cultures".Many particularities determine that there is an important strategic need to build Shuangjiang Autonomous County into a demonstration county of national unity and progress.In December 2018,Shuangjiang Autonomous County was named the sixth batch of "National Unity and Progress Demonstration Counties" by National Ethnic Affairs Commission,which is not only a positive response to the call of the Party Central Committee and the State Council,but also an important measure to accelerate the high-quality leapfrog development of Shuangjiang Autonomous County.Shuangjiang Autonomous County has successfully established the title of "National Demonstration County of National Unity and Progress",but the successful measures taken in the process of establishment and the successful experience accumulated need to be summarized and refined urgently.This paper summarizes and reviews the main course of promoting the cause of national unity and progress in Yunnan Province,takes the practical exploration of Shuangjiang’s establishment of "National Demonstration County of National Unity and Progress" as the breakthrough point,summarizes and refines the six in one basic mode of Shuangjiang’s establishment of "NationalDemonstration County of National Unity and Progress",and analyses the social effect of establishing "National Demonstrat ion County of National Solidarity and Progress".It provides a realistic reference for consolidating and developing the new ethnic relations in the new period of our country.It provides practical guidance and reference for Yunnan Province and other multi-ethnic areas in China to establish demonstration zones of national unity and progress.
