Ritual, which occurred in a particular occasion, standardized and repeated social behavior, carries special cultural traditions and social significance. Whether it is in the pursuit of spiritual sustenance in the religious sphere or in the pursuit of material satisfaction in the secular life, ritual is essential as the need of collective public life. The Young Pioneers ritual is also important parts of their organizational life, which consists of a series of ritual symbols and expresses the core values of the organization in the form of performance. As a collective etiquette of the Young Pioneers, this behavior system in primary schools plays a unique role not only in cultivating and strengthening young pioneers identity,but also promoting members in the process of political socialization. Of course, this function should owe to its characteristic of visualization and collectivization to a large degree. However, the actual situation is unsatisfactory: on one hand, the Young Pioneers have weak sense of identity, accompanied by gradually disappeared sense of responsibility and honor; on the other hand, the school moral education work is in absolute position, leading to the absence of the Young Pioneers ritual education. So it became a problem in great urgent to solve, especially for the Young Pioneers which shouldered the important task of uniting, educating and guiding the masses of young children. According to the American sociologist Randall Collins’ Interaction Ritual chain theory, this study bases on the young pioneers’ identity to conduct ritual education research,in order to develop and bolster Young Pioneers’ identity, improve the effect of ritual education. Taking the Young Pioneers subject and school Young Pioneers work into consideration, it has a certain theoretical and practical significance. More specifically, this study expands the contents of research about Young Pioneers education and enriches related research of ritual education in theory. Besides, it has a certain reference in guiding and improving the school Young Pioneers work, promoting the young children grow up healthy in practice.Following the logic of asking the question, analyzing the problem and solving the problem, the researcher carries out this study step by step. Firstly, through a systemic literature review, the author has a general knowledge of present research situation about the Young Pioneers’ ritual education, and gradually his research direction comes into being, that is to study the Young Pioneers’ ritual education from the perspective of identity. Secondly, through questionnaires and interviews which help to understand the current situation of the Young Pioneers’ ritual education, the study finds that the Young Pioneers’ ritual education in primary school has made some progress, while there are existing problems as follows: the loss of the subject position of Young Pioneers, the ignorance of symbolic meanings and formalized tendency of practice activities. Thirdly, standing on the problems existing in the primary stage of the young pioneers ritual education, the study analyzes the causes, including the misunderstanding of children’s ideas, the utilitarian value orientation of education and the absence of honor culture. Finally, relying on the theory of interaction ritual chains, the study reflects on the current ritual education of the Young Pioneers, especially from the perspective of elements of interaction ritual. Similarly, the principal position of the young pioneers, the procedure of practice activities and the development of cultural development become the source of countermeasures, aiming at optimizing the ritual education and enhancing the identity of the Young Pioneers. In particular, promoting the position of Young Pioneers by changing children’ ideas and way of organizational management. Paying attention to the procedure of young pioneers’ activities by stressing the continuous feedback and reinforcement, as well as shared emotional state. Implementing the cultural construction of the Young Pioneers by the ground construction, system construction and the development of activity curriculum, and melting into the overall school cultural construction eventually.
