In our country, many people see campus bullying as a usual thing. They don’t realize that the bad effect of campus bullying which may be a big threat to our students’ lives. Therefore, our research on this aspect is not enough, and we are lack of corresponding effective countermeasures. But in many developed countries,campus bullying has atrracted the attention of many scholars. There are a lot of successful measures and experiences which are worthy for us to learn.This thesis can be divided into four parts:The first part firstly introduces a case about campus bullying happened recently and caused extensive concern in the United States. The researches on campus bullying have made a considerable achievement, particularly in the US and Japan. They have also promoted the development of other related researches.The second part is to introduce the basic situation of campus bullying. ‘Bullying’has a comprehensive meaning of ‘bullied’ and ‘insulted’. In a broad sense, ‘bullying’can be mixed with ‘campus bullying’. Campus bullying and campus violence are alike but also have differences. There are three kinds of bulling: direct bullying( physical bullying, verbal bullying), indirect bullying( relationship bullying). Network bullying is a new form of campus bullying. The relationships between campus bullying and other crimes are complex: progressive transformation, breeding and assisted, attracted and provoke, etc.The third part firstly analysis campus bullying from different perspectives of several foreign theories, including criminology, psychology, sociology and so on.These theories discovered many causes of campus bullying from different perspectssuch as school environment and social influence, etc. Secondly, this part introduces a lot of successful measures and experiences of the US and Japan.The fourth part suggests to builed a comprehensive preventing and controling systerm, from the perspectives of government, society, school, family which are based on the situation of our country and foreign successful experience. As to government,they should improve the legal prevention and enhance concerning policies. As to social organizations, they should explore different ways of social works to get involved. As to schools, they should strengthen education and management. As to families, they should pay attention to the supervision of bullying and repair the damages.
