Since the21st century, with the acceleration of the reform of higher education, theemployment situation of university graduates has become increasingly serious, and theemployment problem of higher vocational college graduates has been also prominent. If highervocational colleges can build a batch of high skilled talents with entrepreneurial quality andentrepreneurial ability, it will play an extremely important role in solving the employmentproblem, building a harmonious society and realizing the rapid development of social economy.In the‘21st Century Higher Education Outlook and the Action of Declaration of the World’published in1999, the United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization pointedout that cultivating the entrepreneurial skills and entrepreneurial spirit must be regarded as thebasic goal of higher education. As a result, the goals of higher vocational education are not onlyto cultivate workers, but also to cultivate entrepreneurs. Entrepreneurship is also employment,and once entrepreneurship succeeds, it can promote more employment. Vocational education isthe national key development project, whether it can develop healthy mainly depends onchanging the traditional education ideas of the whole society as soon as possible, deepening thereform of the personnel training mode of higher vocational colleges, strengthening theinnovation of entrepreneurship education, and encouraging the higher vocational collegestudents to start entrepreneurship, which is not only an important way of promoting theuniversity students’ employment, but also a symbol of whether the university student become auseful person.Compared with the entrepreneurship education abroad, the entrepreneurship education inour country started relatively late, the base was week, the experience was inadequate, and it wasvery immature, which is a new field in the education study. What’s more, the entrepreneurshipresearch of higher vocational colleges is still at a primary stage in our country, and itsdevelopment is not perfect. How to comply with the trend of social development and carry outthe entrepreneurship education effectively is a very important task that the higher vocationalcolleges are facing.This paper starts from the research background of entrepreneurship education in highervocational colleges, expounds the necessity of entrepreneurship education, analyzes the presentsituation of entrepreneurship education in higher vocational colleges, through methods such asobservation method, literature research method, questionnaire survey method, case analysismethod, it puts forward the specific methods that the higher vocational colleges in our country can use to improve the teaching effect of the entrepreneurial education.This paper points out that the entrepreneurship education of the higher vocational collegesin our country is only at its initial stage, under the influence of economic development, theentrepreneurship education have appeared regional differences. For the present, the mainproblem we are facing is that the study and launch of the entrepreneurship education lags farbehind the developed countries, which is mainly manifested in the following aspects, such asthat the students’ entrepreneurship awareness is not strong, the effective teaching methods arelacking in the teaching process, the teachers lack practical experiences, and the entrepreneurshippractice teaching link is weak. Faced with the above problems, the author carries out a series ofinvestigation and study on the current situation of entrepreneurship education in highervocational colleges in our country and identifies the training goal of entrepreneurial talent andmeasures of improving the implementation of entrepreneurship education. Then this paper putsforward countermeasures and suggestions such as changing the traditional ideas, deepeningreforms of the higher vocational college education, building the systematic entrepreneurshipeducation curriculum system, perfecting the system construction of entrepreneurship educationin higher vocational colleges, strengthening concrete ways in the entrepreneurship education ofhigher vocational college students.
