Study On The Integration Of Digital Resources In College Archives And Museum

The revolution of information technology has been a catalyst for new ways toproduce, use, and access digital resources, thus it triggers a series of changes in theways and habits of users. Within the space of internet, the digital informationresources, which have gradually been the intermediate links in the construction ofnational digital resources to support the national innovation system for technology,have also become the first approach to information acquisition for the public.Therefore, the integration of LAM tends to strengthen in a global scale. Digitalprograms and cooperation of achieves and museums are moving forward. Facing thesharply increasing amounts of digital information, achieves and museums in collegesand universities should consider an important issue, that is: how to manage andintegrate digital information effectively, and how to balance the contradictionbetween milliards of resources and improper usage, so as to realize resources’long-term preservation, as well as to provide better services for management.Therefore, considered the environment of digital resources at present, this thesiswill focus on how to realize the integration of digital information in achieves andmuseums of colleges and universities. The research will be carried out from severalparts:The first chapter tells the significance of this topic under the background ofresource integration and sharing, and analyzes the current situation of this subjectfrom academic circles and social practices.The second chapter stresses the cultural roles and performance levels of achievesand museums after stating their functions, features and managements as well asclarifying the digital resource contents of the two.The third chapter points the superiority and importance of digital resourceintegration for achieves and museums together with the analysis of the socialenvironment.The fourth chapter is the key part of this thesis, which explore the ways torealize the integration form different perspectives within technical support andmanagement thinking.
