Education quality, especially undergraduate education quality has always been the focusof the public since our entering the popularization of higher education. In order to ease thethreat that the spike in the scale of higher education brings to the education quality, and toimprove the talent training quality, our country has adopted a series of measures to improveand guarantee the quality of the higher education in undergraduate teaching.Because teachers are the persons who lead, maintain and facilitate the teaching activity,and the persons who will implement and practice the education reform in the end, they play akey role in any reform aiming at the improvement of teaching education. It’s found thatteachers evaluation helps every teacher. Scientific and reasonable evaluation system canpromote the professional development of teachers, and teaching quality benefit fromprofessional teachers.By the integrated use of literature analysis, case study and comparative research, thispaper reviews first the research status in comparative study of teachers’ teaching evaluation inour country and the domestic teachers teaching evaluation research. Then,the article reviewsthe teaching evaluation history of China and America, and compare and analyze their features.In the following part, it introduces teaching evaluation system of MIT and SCUT, andcompares the two systems in the terms of the organization and composition of the evaluationteam, contents, evaluation periods, evaluation procedures, processing and feedback ofevaluation results. Next, it focuses on the similarities and differences of teaching evaluationsystem between the two countries. Furthermore, it tries to find out the reasons that cause thedifferences in the aspect of the external and internal environment of universities. Finally, itdraws some conclusions from American teaching evaluation system.The conclusion includesthat it must make greater effort in evaluation theory research, evaluation system, thought andconcept as well. In addition, this paper analyses the measures of realizing the assurances aswell.
