Foreign language anxiety,as one of the principal components of languagelearners’ affective factors in EFL/ESL learning,is attracting more and more academicconcerns of foreign or second language teaching and research fields both abroad athome.Foreign language anxiety is acomplicated psychological phenomenon in theforeign language learning process.Therefore,how to alleviate learning anxiety andpromote learners’ foreign language learning aptitude appears to be an urgent andimportant issue.There have been many studies investigating learners’anxiety in ourcountry,yet little research has been focused on English learning anxiety on rural juniormiddle school students.The study selects the study of reducing the rural junior middle school students’English learning anxiety through the information technology to investigate theinfluences of the students’ English learning anxiety after using the informationtechnology in English lessons with the basic of analyzing the level of the students inrural junior middle school.This dissertation consists of six parts:Part one briefly introduces the research background and research situation,aswell as the significance,the aim,the design and the methods of the study.Part two mainly presents the representative theories of language learning anxiety.Part three is the survey of the current situation about the English learning anxietyof the students in rural junior middle school with the questionnaires and interview.Part four introduces the design of the strategy about how to reduce Englishlearning anxiety of the student through information technolygy on the base of the dateanalysis and current situation of the information technolygy infrastructures about thisrural school.The content includes the electronic whiteboard,the mulmedia networkclassroom and the class QQ group that are used in English lessons.Part five is the effect the strategy about how to reduce English learning anxietyof the student through information technolygy.The stategy implements for sixteenweeks with the quasi experimental method.Finally,the effect is summed up throughanalyzing the questionnaires date and interview. Part six summarizes the main research results and the shortcomings of thisstudy,prospectes the future research.This dissertation conclusions:The learners in rural junior middle school have greater scope and severity ofanxiety in their English learning,but their learning anxiety can be reduced throughproper information technology.In addition,the stategy about how to reduce Englishlearning anxiety of the student through information technolygy is helpful to promotethe learners’English scores.
