As a new modern educational technology, the interactive whiteboard enjoys lotsof characteristics that attract educators to focus on and study. On the basis ofinteractive whiteboard’s characteristic, this paper reviews and summarizes the conceptof interactive whiteboard, the research status of application study at home and abroad,the basic theory of its application in the class and the existing classification and codesystem in class as well as the related study of its application level. Through all kindsof teaching activities, we make a code form and classification form of its applicationlevel based on its application in math class in primary schools. Take40videos ofprimary math classes as examples, with video examples statistics analysis and theapplication of QSR Nvivo10software, we get some information through the twoaforementioned forms so as to judge the application of interactive whiteboard inprimary school, level as well as the behavior of teachers and students. On this basis,we put forward the strategy, the progressive level strategy, to improve the applicationof interactive whiteboard. We look forward to providing useful information to similarstudy.The paper includes six chapters in all:Chapter1.Introduction.The background, core question, purpose, content, train ofthought and the methods involved in the study are put forward.Chapter2. Study Summary. Show readers interactive whiteboard’s concept, thestudy of its application at home and aboard as well as the basic theory of applicationin class.Chapter3. The key part of the paper. It mainly introduces the form ofclassification code system and the form of application level (Flanders’InteractionAnalysis System and Interaction Analysis code system based on the informationtechnology and TIMSS video study code system).Combined the function ofinteractive whiteboard with many links in classes and variety of teaching actions, itprovides a code analysis system and explains it in details.Chapter4. The key part of the paper. Analysis of the application level ofinteractive whiteboard in math classes in primary school. Analyzing40interactive whiteboard math class examples by QSR NVivo10software, it draws a conclusion ofinteractive whiteboard’s application level and features in every level based on theform.Chapter5. The key part of the paper. Strategies to improve the application ofinteractive whiteboard in math class in primary school. On the basis of analysis andsummary of the application level of interactive whiteboard and the feature of differentlevel, the paper puts forward the strategies to improve the application of interactivewhiteboard in math class in primary school.Chapter6. Conclusion and reflection of the study.
