Gymnastics is one of the main courses of Physical Education Specialty in normal colleges and universities in China and the important contents of gymnastics teaching as well as our country small and medium-sized pe. In2011, in the new round of the basic education curriculum reform implementation after10, our country promulgated the new reform of basic education "sports (and health) course standard"(hereinafter referred to as the "standard"). It is a main means for the physical exercises, in order to learn the sports and health knowledge, skills and methods as the main content and improve students’ health, cultivate students’ life-long sports consciousness and ability. This article expert interview, mathematical statistics, logic analysis and other methods through the literature material, in the new curriculum from the perspective of questionnaire, in order to develop the Gansu Province Sports Education Professional Gymnastics Teaching Ability of students as the object of study. A professional physical education of Northwest Normal University, Lanzhou City College, He Xi University, Long dong University, Tianshui Normal University, Gannan teachers, students at Northwest University For Nationalities, and gymnastics teachers and14cities in Gansu province (delta) part of the PE teachers in primary and middle schools as the research object, on the basis of predecessors of gymnastics teaching ability of scientific research, investigation and analysis the cultivation of Gansu Province Sports Education Professional Gymnastics teaching ability, found that restricting factors, and put forward the corresponding improvement suggestions. Because the cultivation of professional physical education students in Gansu Province under new curriculum criteria of the gymnastics teaching ability has been further improved to provide a certain reference value. Draw the following conclusions:1The implementation of the new curriculum standard had no impact on the professional physical education in Gansu province gymnastics teachers college, Gansu college physical education professional gymnastics teachers and students to the new curriculum standards do not know enough.2Education specialized students have further requirements in the new curriculum standards of Gansu Province under the background of PE Teaching in middle school to the university sports, not only have the basic knowledge and skills, but also have the following gymnastics teaching ability:demonstration ability, on the ability, innovation ability, teaching design ability, organization ability, queue formation protection and assistance capabilities, sports scientific research ability. The gymnastics teaching ability of teachers has a more comprehensive requirement.3It is difficult for a teacher to single handedly to every student to do everything. The major Gansu province sports education of college students mainly in the teaching team as a teaching unit, group number, can not ensure the ability of all students get sufficient exercise, gymnastics teaching ability also cannot have the same training and comprehensive.4Gansu province university sports education specialized students in gymnastics teaching practice in two forms:before graduation practice and classroom random practice two. Classroom practice a few random arrangement, and for a short time. Practice relates to gymnastics teaching hours less. Time and fewer students practice, can not give full play to students’ gymnastics teaching ability, make the students self teaching ability is limited.5Imperfect evaluation system of comprehensive assessment for students in gymnastics teaching ability make the students on the ability of the preparatory activities, demonstration ability, ability, protect and help improve the ability not to wait until. And the new curriculum standard more requirement of cultivating students’ comprehensive ability. So the gymnastics training assessment system for College Physical Education Specialty in Gansu province is not conducive to the students’ physical ability in gymnastics teaching quality.
