The pursuit of happiness is an eternal subject in human life. The study ofhappiness involves economics, psychology, management science, and otherdifferent disciplines. In recent years, happiness has drawn public increasingattention.Happiness refers to individual value of their living quality through theirintrinsic standards, is a kind of comprehensive and affirmative evaluation oflong-term life satisfaction. It is considered that happiness is a positivepsychological experience of people to their own existing and developingcondition. As practical and stable feeling, happiness is not only closelyrelated to the objective condition but also showing the needs and value ofpeople. Resulting from the three selected colleges in Quanzhou urban area assamples, this study mainly set focus on the happiness of teachers in vocationalcolleges. By reviewing the related concepts, theories and contemporarystudies, this study is based on the combination knowledge of human resourcemanagement and organizational behavior, and describes the current situationof teachers’ happiness in vocational colleges, by means of questionnaires andinterviews, to give the definition and characteristics of humanisticmanagement status in vocational colleges. According to that, this studyanalyzed the existing problems of management in vocational colleges, definesthe main factors impacting vocational college teachers, and also tries to putforward some suggestions to upgrade their level of happiness at the sametime.The results are as follows:1. The level of total happiness is relatively high.2. Teachers with different personal situations show significant influenceon happiness, such as sex, education, professional title, and work years.3. The happiness is consisted of three dimensions: physical and mentalhealth, material needs and emotional needs. 4. Teachers’ development and achievement needs are not well satisfied.And their state of health is not fairly satisfactory. For them, there’s a lack ofeffective incentive mechanism and promoting system.5. It is necessary to establish a people-oriented management conception,paying more attention to salary increasing and emotion investment.6. The improvement of teachers’ happiness needs help from societies,colleges and teachers themselves.
