Currently, the competition of comprehensively national power attributes to thetalents contention. It is significant of ameliorating integrated national power to nurturethe talents equipped with excellence and creation while the university take theresponsibility of talent cultivation. Nowadays, it is difficult to cultivate outstandingpersonnel only by teaching knowledge simply and basing on teaching facilities.As far as university is concerned, soft-environment plays an increasingly importantrole, especially under the circumstance of immensely social reform and promptlyeconomic development.Compared with foreign countries, the majority of advanced colleges in ourcountry have perfected relatively hardware infrastructure for teaching. However, theteaching soft-environment construct remains to be improved. And there are still somedifferences in the aspect of talent cultivation with the first-class foreign countries. Inorder to meet the rapid development of the global science and technology, we need tolearn from world-class universities, and to absorb experience which is suitable for ourcountry. Simultaneously, it can promote China’s college construction, train topcreative talents required for national high-quality and ultimately enhance thecomprehensive competitiveness of our countries.This paper denominates the concept of education and the significance of talentcultivation briefly based on the teaching soft-environment construct. The number ofthe United States first-class universities occupies the largest proportion. It can bedescribed the international top institutions’ leading status owing to paying moreattention to undergraduate cultivation. Exampled by the typical colleges such as MITand Harvard, the paper analyses the characteristic of teaching soft-environment in theprocessing of undergraduate cultured and continuous development. And combing withthe current problems that we face to, it makes the macroscopic grasp so as to discussthe construction of teaching soft-environment in our countries. The paper obtainsbeneficial revelation from foreign countries in case of Tianjin University MaterialsScience and Engineering to improve the talent cultivation construction anddevelopment of domestic colleges and universities.
