Normal College Music Education Reform Under The Concept Of New Curriculum In Primary And Secondary Schools

Looking back on the history of the development of music education in Chinese modern school for over100years, the basic music education is in the continuous reform and innovation too, in this historical process and strives to explore the operation mode of its own law of development, in order to adapt to the continuous development of society and the times. In the21st century, we have launched a new round of basic music education reform and promulgated the new version of Full-time compulsory education music curriculum standard (experimental manuscript)(Hereinafter will be referred as New curriculum standards). With the vigorous promote of the basic music education reform and the full implementation of the new curriculum, the concept, behavior and ability of professional teachers for music education in normal colleges cannot meet the need for reform of the basic music education. The renewal of the educational concept and the transformation of teaching behaviors and roles of teachers is imminent and urgent. In order to adapt to this change, The Ministry of Education, later on published National College Musicology (Teacher Education) undergraduate curriculum guidance program (Hereinafter will be referred as guidance program), selected part of the Musicology (Teacher Education) major as a pilot, to perform the reform of the normal college music curriculum. In this paper, by reviewing the history of music education in primary and secondary schools and normal colleges, I intend to explore the development of idea of music education in different historical periods and discuss the solutions and methods of the normal college music education reform under the environment of the full implementation of the new curriculum standards from aspects of the setting of music teaching goals, the installation of teaching courses, the programs of personnel training, the construction of teaching faculty and the reformation of enrollment examination and the like.
